As Senior Business Development Manager you focus on generating opportunities and on-boarding new mid-market and enterprise accounts. You're resourceful and possess strong negotiation skills, and you work effectively both independently and as part of the sales and marketing team. You learn quickly, adapt well to change, and you're a tenacious professional, dedicated to chasing and meeting targets, as well as executing a company-wide sales strategy.
Your goal is to generate opportunities that lead to sustainable financial growth, focusing on a blend of product and services.
You report to the Head of Sales.
Focus on identifying, creating, developing and closing new business opportunities with mid-market and enterprise customers
Meet and exceed quarterly and annual gross profit targets, as well as other company-wide strategic objectives, including revenue streams split.
Provide excellent customer experience by maintaining high standards at all times, ensuring proper use of the brand, company messaging and tone of voice.
Utilise existing network of contacts as well as identify and nurture key relationships within both prospect and target organisations.
Support lead generation campaigns and activities in conjunction with the sales and marketing team.
Attend appropriate networking events and functions to promote the company and aid in prospecting and building a contacts base.
Ensure quotations compliance with vendor incentives and rebate programmes to maximise company profit and remain competitive in the market place.
Engage suitably skilled pre-sales consultancy and engineering resources to provide the best solutions and services and ensure high conversion rates.
Adopt the sales and marketing processes and procedures to align with the company-wide standards.
Be data-driven and keep CRM up to date with activities, tasks and opportunities to ensure information is available for reporting purposes and for management and peers access.
Become familiar with the company product and services portfolio, with an emphasis on annuity business propositions like managed services.
Maintain products and services knowledge by attending webinars, participating in internal and vendor specific enablement sessions and completing the required vendor accreditations.
Develop trust and forge strong long-term relationships with clients that leads to sustainable financial growth through high-value annuity-based revenue streams.
What knowledge, qualifications and experience are required?
5+ years achieving or exceeding individual targets working in a new business development role, generating business from scratch through existing contacts or prospecting activities.
Experience selling Cisco products and services, with a deep understanding of Cisco sales cycle and Cisco sales organisation.
Demonstrable experience within both public and private sector across mid-market and enterprise segments.
Demonstrable experience understanding revenue operations, selling annuity business and multi-year contracts.
Desired Academic Qualifications:
Higher National Diploma (or equivalent)

Bachelor's Degree
