Areas of responsibility within Forfusion
As Head of People, I am responsible for designing and implementing the people strategy across all areas of our people function, including Human Resources, Payroll, Learning and Development, and Recruitment. My role is to create and execute a comprehensive strategy that supports the company’s growth while promoting a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture. I am dedicated to aligning our people practices with business objectives, driving success both for individuals and the organisation as a whole.
Industry experience
By working across a diverse range of industries and organisations, I have gained a broad array of experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Payroll, Recruitment, and Employee Relations. This has enabled me to develop a rounded understanding of how to effectively support both employees and organisational goals. In my role, I aim to lead efforts that drive employee engagement, foster a strong organisational culture, and ensure that the people strategy aligns with the business's long-term vision. My approach emphasises creating synergies between individual career growth and company objectives, ensuring that both thrive together.
I enjoy implementing People strategies that improve operational efficiency, enhance talent acquisition, and streamline people processes. I believe in creating a transparent and inclusive environment where open communication is encouraged, and collaboration is key to overcoming challenges. I view each challenge as an opportunity to innovate and drive change, ensuring that both employees and the organisation can achieve sustainable success.
Background
My career began in the British Army as a Combat Human Resource Specialist, where I served with The Rifles and The Royal Engineers. This experience was pivotal in shaping my work ethic, understanding people and providing a strong foundation in people management. After leaving the British Army, I have worked in roles across various industries, including Medical Legal, Manufacturing, and Education and Training.
Throughout my career, each role has presented unique challenges that have broadened my expertise in people management. These experiences have strengthened my ability to lead teams through change, enhance processes, and foster a sustainable and positive work environment.

In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy spending quality time with my two children. Whether we're out for a walk, playing games, or just chatting, it’s always a rewarding experience. I also have a keen interest in history and property development, and I love listening to podcasts that delve into these topics. They provide me with valuable insights and spark my curiosity. Additionally, I take great pleasure in DIY projects around the house. There's something incredibly satisfying about getting hands-on and seeing a project come together, whether it’s a simple repair or a more ambitious renovation.
